I have been a patient of Dr Jones for the last 14 years , normally seeing him at his clinic at Queen Mary's Hospital Roehampton. Usually this is for routine appointments, but occasionally I have needed to see him urgently . Dr Jone was the first medic to take my condition seriously. He spent a great deal of time and trouble on the initial diagnosis , and then took the longer term time it needed to help me get my day to day management regime right - for me as an individual , listening to me as an individual in the context of my work and hobbies , all of which, unfortunately, put pressure on my medical condition. I have always felt that Dr Jones and I have worked together as a team in respect of my care and the preventative management and ,as a result, we have done so most constructively and successfully . And that, I think , is key - it's very much "us" as opposed to "him" and "me".

I see Dr. Jones at his rheumatology clinic at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, London SW15. I have arthritis conditions that are kept under control by medication and unless there is a flare up, I see Dr. Jones once a year. At these consultations, he is always friendly, always listens, and his explanations are always clear. I have great trust in his judgment and feel that he has genuine concern for me as a patient. I particularly appreciate that, should my condition deteriorate between my annual visits, I can contact him for an appointment for which I won't have to wait too long. I last had to use this facility some years ago, but it is very reassuring to know that it is there.

I was first referred to Dr Jones two and a half years ago for problems relating to my spine. Within days of my first appointment he had pinpointed two previously undiagnosed conditions and was able to commence treatment. His manner is cheerful and reassuring and he always explains the options and treatment clearly. Whenever my symptoms flare up I always return to him as he inspires the utmost confidence.

Dr Hugh Jones, is very professional, empathetic and a great diagnostician /clinician . His pursuit of excellence in care is well acknowledged. I am so fortunate to have had him recommended to me. He is very positive and most encouraging. Nothing is too much trouble ever. He listens attentively., and is so kind. The NHS is enhanced by having dedicated , committed men like him . He should be the face of NHS. England.2015.
